Party Space - Terms & Conditions
Inspired Pots Parties & Private Events Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to bookings for our party space at Inspired Pots, including children’s parties, family and mixed-age group bookings, hen parties, stag parties, baby showers, and other private group events.
By paying your booking fee or invoice, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. General Terms for All Bookings
1.1 Booking confirmation
Your booking is only confirmed once we have received your booking fee and issued confirmation by email.
Bookings are accepted for the agreed date, time, booking type, and number of guests discussed at the time of booking.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, booking the party space does not include exclusive hire of the full studio.
1.2 Booking fee and payment
A £70 booking fee is required to secure your event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This booking fee reserves the party space and covers studio fees, administration, planning, and staffing for your booking.
The £70 booking fee is separate from the cost of pottery and is not deducted from the final balance unless agreed in writing in advance.
The remaining balance is payable based on the pottery chosen on the day, unless another pricing arrangement or set budget has been agreed in advance.
1.3 Party space and timings
Our party space capacity will be confirmed at the time of booking, depending on the type of event and the number of guests.
Standard party space bookings usually run for around 1.5 to 2 hours. We allow additional studio time around the booking for set-up and tidying, but this does not extend the guest session unless agreed in advance.
Your booking is for the agreed session time only. Late arrival may reduce the time available for painting, as we may still need to finish at the agreed end time.
1.4 What is included
Aprons, brushes, and non-toxic paints are provided for all party space bookings.
Guests may use the booked party space for refreshments, cake, decorations, and light celebration activities where agreed as part of the booking.
1.5 Food, decorations, and clean-up
You are welcome to bring food, cake, and decorations for your event.
All decorations, leftover food, and rubbish must be taken away at the end of the session, as we have limited waste capacity on site.
If rubbish or items are left behind, a waste removal fee of £5 per bin bag may be charged.
Please do not bring glitter, confetti, party poppers, or anything likely to create excessive mess unless agreed in advance.
1.6 Guest numbers and budgets
If you would like us to work to a set budget per child or guest, this must be agreed in advance.
Final guest numbers may be requested up to 7 days before the event and should be confirmed by the booking organiser when requested.
1.7 Cancellations and changes
If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know by email as soon as possible.
The £70 booking fee is fully refundable up to 14 days before the event date.
If the booking is cancelled within 14 days of the event date, the booking fee is non-refundable.
If you would like to move your booking to another date, we will always do our best to help, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
1.8 Pottery glazing, firing, and collection
Finished pottery is glazed and fired in our kiln after the event.
Pottery is usually ready to collect from the studio by the following weekend, although this may vary. We will confirm the collection timing on the day where possible.
Each piece will be individually packaged and labelled for collection.
1.9 Breakages and kiln issues
We take great care with all pottery, but kiln-fired items are handmade and very occasionally faults can happen during firing.
If an item is damaged due to a firing fault or a mistake on our side, our liability will be limited to replacing the item where possible or refunding the amount paid for that item.
1.10 Behaviour and damage
We reserve the right to end a booking early, or refuse service, where behaviour is abusive, unsafe, disruptive, or likely to cause damage to the studio, staff, or other guests.
If we end a booking early due to abusive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour, no refund will be given, except where required by law.
The booking organiser may be held responsible for any deliberate or reckless damage caused by members of their group.
1.11 Our right to cancel
If we need to cancel your booking due to circumstances outside our control, or because we are unable to run the event, we will offer either a full refund of sums paid or the option to transfer the booking to another available date.
2. Additional Terms for Children’s Parties
2.1 Guest numbers and supervision
For children’s birthday party bookings, the maximum number of children permitted will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Up to 3 supervising adults may attend unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Supervising adults are responsible for the children at all times. Our team will help guests get started and will be on hand with painting guidance, but overall supervision remains the responsibility of the booking organiser and attending adults.
Where a booking is primarily for a child’s birthday celebration, Inspired Pots may treat the booking as a children’s party for supervision and attendance purposes.
2.2 Use of the space
We kindly ask that children remain within the party space during the session, as we may have other guests painting in the studio.
3. Additional Terms for Family and Mixed-Age Group Bookings
3.1 Group arrangements
For family and mixed-age group bookings, the agreed number of adults and children must be confirmed at the time of booking.
Any supervision requirements or limits on adult attendance will be agreed based on the size and nature of the booking.
3.2 Responsibility for children
Where children attend as part of a family or mixed-age booking, parents, guardians, or responsible adults remain responsible for them at all times.
4. Additional Terms for Adult Group Bookings
4.1 Group responsibility
For hen parties, stag parties, baby showers, and other adult group bookings, the booking organiser is responsible for ensuring that all guests behave appropriately and respectfully towards staff, the studio, and other customers.
4.2 Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse service or end the session early if the behaviour of any guest is unsafe, abusive, excessively disruptive, or likely to damage the studio or negatively affect the experience of others.
Alcohol may only be brought into the studio if agreed in writing in advance.
