Inspired Pots is a pottery painting studio with step-free access and disabled toilets. We regularly welcome wheelchair users, disabled customers, SEND families, neurodivergent customers, adults with additional needs, carers, support workers and supported groups.

Pottery painting is a relaxed, seated activity where customers can choose a ceramic item, paint at their own pace, and leave it with us to be glazed and kiln-fired. For customers who would prefer a calmer visit, we usually recommend booking on Thursdays during term time.

    Our Hexham studio has step-free access and disabled toilets. Wheelchair users visit us frequently, and you are welcome to contact us if you have any access questions.

  • Quieter Thursday visits

    Thursdays during term time are usually our quietest studio day. They are not SEND-only sessions, but they are often the best day to book if you would prefer a calmer visit

  • Carers are welcome

    Carers and support workers do not pay a studio fee if they are only attending to support someone. If they paint their own item, they pay as normal.

We welcome SEND families, disabled customers, adults with additional needs, carers, support workers and supported groups.

Customers can paint at their own pace, choose simple or more detailed pottery pieces, and take breaks if needed. We also welcome group bookings from charities, schools, care providers and local organisations.

No. Carers and support workers do not need to pay a studio fee if they are only attending to support someone and are not painting their own pottery item. If they would like to paint, they pay as a normal customer.

Can supported groups book a session?

Yes. We welcome supported group bookings from charities, schools, care providers, community groups and local organisations. Please contact us in advance so we can help plan the best setup, timing and pottery options.

Do you offer mobile pottery workshops?

Yes. We can bring pottery painting to external venues for schools, care settings, charities, community groups and supported organisations. We provide the pottery and painting materials, then take the pieces back to our studio for glazing and kiln firing.
